On my recent treasure hunt at Marché aux Puces St-Ouen de Clignancourt, Paris’s most famous flea market, I found this gorgeous antique silverplate pie server. If you ever venture to the market in search of sterling silver serving pieces, I highly recommend stopping by Danielle & Bertrand’s Occasions d’Argenterie in marche Vernaison-allee 1-stand 16 at Marche aux Puces de Saint Ouen. That is where I got this pie server with sterling handle and brass on silverplate. Danielle explained that “tete de minerve” is the stamp for French sterling. It is so romantique!
It complements this silverplate pie server I found at Summit Antiques Center a while back. I will put them to good use at my next dessert buffet.
