Earlier this month, I featured my favorite blue china pieces-one of which was this cobalt serving plate from Coalport- Made in England. I have been mixing and matching this piece with other blue china I had collected.

Shortly after that post, I actually found matching plates (a plate addict’s dream come true) at Summit Antiques Center. I cheered out loud at the store because we all know it can sometimes be very hard to locate matching plates to vintage serving pieces. Here are a few pictures of the newly expanded cobalt Coalport collection:

These gorgeous plates feature a beautiful design of gold scrollwork interspersed with cobalt with an inner border of pink and violet florals. The beaded rim has additional gold gilt trim for that extra touch of elegance-on fine English bone china.

Each plate has a double stamp: England Coalport and Gilman Collamore, New York pattern Z1024. These plates are dated circa 1930’s. I cannot wait to incorporate these plates into a future table setting!
